Action against homelessness

Given its funds originate from the property industry, Shanly Foundation has supported homeless charities for many years and our Action Against Homelessness annual fund offers great opportunities to help make a real difference.

Since launching our Action Against Homelessness fund in 2024, Shanly Foundation has been proud to support charities such as Amber, Youth Concern, and Aylesbury Homeless Action—organisations that not only help get people off the streets but provide the wraparound care needed to rebuild lives and rejoin society. These partnerships continue to shape and inform our grant-making priorities, and transformative support will continue to be the central focus of the Action Against Homelessness fund.

We are particularly keen to support charities and organisations offering practical opportunities to help vulnerable people build skills and return to, or join, the world of work and welcome applications from organisations working to combat homelessness.

Applications are by invitation. Core and unrestricted awards will be considered.

If you are shortlisted for the Shanly Foundation Action Against Homelessness annual fund, you may be invited to present your application to our Board of Trustees.

Important update

Important Update

Due to the success of our Action against homelessness fund over the past few years, and the significant number of projects we currently support, the fund will now operate on an invitation-only basis and is closed to new applications for the foreseeable future.

This decision has been made to allow us time to review the projects and organisations we currently fund, helping us to evaluate our impact and consider how we can best support this sector in the future. The findings of this review will inform our future funding priorities and approach.

We are grateful for the interest shown in the fund and will provide updates should the position change.
