The Lucy Rayner Foundation

The Lucy Rayner Foundation was set up by the mother and family of Lucy Rayner, a young girl who at 22 years old took her own life after silently struggling with mental health issues. This life changing event inspired Lucy’s mother Jenny and her family to begin campaigning about the mental health challenges faced by young adults, and they quickly found that the support and help available to recognize and treat young adults with mental health challenges is woefully inadequate and significantly underfunded.
As a result, the charity was set-up to offer a number of different support services for people with mental health challenges, be actively involved in a number of projects to help raise awareness and run a series of successful fundraising events to support their efforts.
Our donation of £4,000 will be used to support their youth counselling service.
