The Reading Association for the Blind has been supporting the sight impaired people of Reading since 1883. People living with sight impairment offer suffer from isolation and social exclusion so the services provided by RAB are designed to promote social interaction and inclusion in society.
Some of the activities offered include theatre trips, holidays, taking part in the craft club, learning new skills such as IT, visiting the social club and rambling. These are all activities that members may otherwise not be able to take part in and the Shanly Foundation’s donation will assist with the costs of the Countryside Rambling project.
