We are proud to be supporting the Lions Club of Maidenhead with their annual fundraising event, the duck derby. On Sunday the 18th of June, the Lions Club will take over Ray Mill Island at Boulters Lock to put on a family fun fay and duck derby race. The event features fun fair attractions, Punch & Judy, various stalls, a children’s duck hunt, a tombola and food & ice cream. The day finishes at 4.30pm with a race of 2,000 plastic ducks on the River Thames as a novel way to draw a raffle with 3 substantial cash prizes. Entrance to the venue is free. Our donation will help the Maidenhead Lions with the operational costs involved in running the fair – all proceeds will then be donated to charities that help those in need in the local community.
