Leatherhead Youth Project was delighted to receive a grant from the Shanly Foundation towards refurbishment works and new equipment for their BFree Youth Café project.
The charity offers a diverse range of projects which provide holistic and long-term support to local young people. The various projects aim to address a particular local need, and all contribute towards the charity’s vision of all young people being safe, happy and making positive changes in their lives and the community around them.
The BFree Youth Café is open five evenings a week from 3.15pm to 6.15pm Monday to Thursday and 3.15pm to 8pm on Fridays. It provides a safe and fun environment in which young people can meet up and enjoy a range of activities including healthy cooking, arts and crafts and competitions.
The Shanly Foundation was inspired by the charities commitment to supporting the youth in the local community and were delighted to be able to help to improve the facilities at BFree.
