      2. Choose the Right Fund

We offer three main grant funds. You can apply to only one per year.

      • General Applications Fund – open throughout the year to a wide range of local organisations.
      • Training & Careers in Construction Fund – open all year for projects supporting skills, training, and careers in construction.
      • Action Against Homelessness Fund – open once per year for charities tackling homelessness or supporting those at risk; dates are published each January.

Note: Applications of £2,000 and under will be offered a shorter application form.

        3. Submit Your Application

Applications must be completed and submitted through our online portal. You will be asked to create an account and complete the relevant application form.

        • The form will guide you step by step.
        • You can save and return to it later.
        • Once submitted, you’ll receive an email confirming your application reference ID.

Note: We recommend submitting your application at least 10 weeks before you need a decision.

          4. Review and Decision

          After submission:

          • Applications are reviewed by our Awards Officer, who may request further information.
          • Trustees meet monthly to consider most applications.
          • For the Action Against Homelessness Fund, shortlisting takes place within eight weeks of the closing date.
          • You will be notified of the Board’s decision in writing.

Note: If successful, payment is normally made within two weeks of receiving your award confirmation.

            5. Reporting Back

All grant recipients are asked to complete a short Monitoring and Evaluation Form to share the outcomes of their work. You will receive a reminder by email once this is due.

              6. Reapplying

You can reapply 12 months after your last award or rejection letter. Multi-year grantees may reapply during the final year of their current award.
