Created by Tony Attwood, ex-offender and Peter Ross, the judge who jailed him, Hope and Vision Communities provides supported, move-on accommodation for people who need help to get back on their feet, a place to call home and people around them who they can relate to.
In August 2024, Shanly Foundation made a three-year commitment to Hope and Vision Communities to run a pilot in which the charity would train and support ex-offenders to prevent their continued cycle of homelessness.
Getting to grips with day-to-day life can feel overwhelming, Hope and Vision aims to provide opportunities to work, volunteer, socialise and re-train, teach the responsibilities of self-employment, taxation and HMRC processes, and gives them practical construction experience to empower them to start their own business.
