We are proud to announce we are continuing to support Maidenhead United Football Club as they collaborate with suicide prevention charity, Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), for the second year.
This season, the club has been communicating the message directly to fans, their friends and families alongside the wider community as part of delivering against two of CALM’s brand pillars – combatting loneliness and supporting emotional well-being whilst creating awareness of CALM locally.
Every Wednesday Maidenhead United organise a well-being CALM Wednesday walk, they also run a weekly men’s support group that now has 15 members and has saved people from taking their own lives. And throughout 2023 and 2024, there were many football matches, highlighting the importance of asking people how they are and starting conversations, as well as a charity match to raise money for CALM.
This week, the club are celebrating Mental Health Awareness Week and how important it is to get out and talk to people. CALM directly support mental health and stand against suicide, focusing on working together to help anyone struggling.
