Arthouse Unlimited announced as second winner of charity prize draw

This month’s winner of our 50th anniversary charity prize draw is Stocks, a Marlow-based independent boutique and tenant of Sorbon Estates, who nominated Arthouse Unlimited as the recipient of the donation.
Arthouse Unlimited, based in Godalming, Surrey, runs artistic workshops for adults with physical and learning disabilities, creating high-quality artwork and products that are made available for purchase online and in a range of design-led boutiques.
Stocks, a family-run business established and managed by Sandie Harrow, specialises in craft gifts. The company stocks a selection of hand-made products created by Arthouse Unlimited, in addition to a wide range of other artisanal goods with a focus on sustainable production. Many of the products sourced by Sandie’s team benefit vulnerable communities in the UK and beyond, including locations, such as Myanmar and Nepal.
Tamra Booth, Operations Director at The Shanly Group said: “The Shanly Group is committed to supporting local communities across a range of initiatives, spanning health, poverty, education and art, and we’re pleased that our tenant Stocks has nominated Arthouse Unlimited to receive a £2,500 donation from the Shanly Foundation. Arthouse Unlimited helps promote social inclusion, while strengthening communities – a purpose that strongly resonates with the Shanly Group ethos.”
Sandie at Stocks said: “When it comes to selecting suppliers for our shops, we try to work with organisations, businesses and individuals with a unique story to tell and love supporting those whose products have an impact on the wellbeing of others. Arthouse Unlimited is creating marvellous products, and I hope that Shanly Group’s donation will help them to continue providing guidance and support to talented people with disabilities.”
Katie at Arthouse Unlimited said: “We’re thrilled to have been nominated as the recipient of Shanly Group’s charity prize by the Stocks team. This support is extremely encouraging and will enable the artists to continue creating beautiful and moving art work, helping to provide a sense of purpose and a welcoming, inclusive environment.”
