  • Contact details for organisations that apply for funding (e.g. name, email, phone, address).
  • Information included in funding applications (such as financial information about your organisation).
  • Limited technical data when you use our website (such as IP address and cookies – see our [Cookies Policy]).

We do not collect sensitive data such as health, ethnicity, or political opinions.

How we use your data

We use your data to:

  • process and assess funding applications,
  • contact you about applications or monitoring,
  • follow up on projects we support,
  • send you important updates about our terms and conditions or processes,
  • occasionally invite you to provide feedback or take part in surveys.

You can ask us to stop receiving non-essential emails (such as surveys or updates) at any time by contacting info@shanlyfoundation.com.

Who we share it with

We may share your data with:

  • our professional advisers (lawyers, auditors, IT providers),
  • regulators such as HMRC or the Charity Commission,
  • grant management software providers (e.g. Benefactor, Gallery Partnership).

We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

We only keep your data for as long as necessary to administer grants and meet legal or audit requirements.

You have the right to:

  • request a copy of the data we hold about you,
  • ask us to correct or delete it,
  • object to how we use it, or
  • complain to the ICO (www.ico.org.uk).
