Well done to the six Team Shanly runners who completed the Maidenhead Half Marathon on Sunday 4th September in very respectable times. Their gruelling training programme paid off as they tacked the fast, flat Maidenhead course which started in the town centre close to our Chapel Arches development. The runners were able to take in the glorious scenery around the town whilst they competed with over 2,000 other athletes. The route was lined with hundreds of spectators cheering them on to the finish line where they refuelled and received their medal. The Maidenhead Half Marathon, organised by Purple Patch Running, was this year sponsored by the Shanly Foundation with profits going to the fantastic Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice.
