In 2000, Regenerate responded to the crucial needs of young people living on Alton Estate in Roehampton. On a daily basis, young people in the estate would face issues related to crime, violence, abuse, drugs and family breakdown. Thanks to Regenerates admirable work and dedication, 17 years later hundreds of young people aged 8-13 have been part of their projects and mentoring programme. In response, some have set up their own businesses and charity projects, others have gone on to join the Regenerate team to share the support they themselves received and now treasure. At the heart of Regenerate is the transformation journey of the young people and The Shanly Foundation is delighted to hear that their help will aid the continuation of this amazing work and bring hope and opportunity to thousands of young people.
