The Bristol Children’s Help Society offers support and kindness to the most disadvantaged children in the Bristol and North Somerset region. Many of these children have parents living with a disability, a mental health disorder or may even be battling issues such as drug addiction or alcoholism. As a result, many of these children may have the responsibility of raising their siblings and running the household, meaning they often miss out on common necessities every child should have access to. The charity runs a week long ‘Barton Camp’ with the help of their unpaid volunteers, providing psychological and emotional support for children living difficult daily lives, whilst building their confidence in a safe environment. The Shanly Foundation was very pleased to contribute to the charity which will help provide free holidays to underprivileged families.
